I will be attending fosdem for the first time in a few days, and have been working hard figuring out all the best talks for Community Managers to go to. Here is a lowdown to save you the effort!
Where there are conflicting events, the one I personally will attend is in black and the other is in grey. Not all of these talks are obviously about community at first (there’s a whole other conference for that right?) but all of them are by someone who is a Community Manager or about something vital such as Brand or Development Tools.
Friday Pre-Fosdem events
Floss Community Metrics Conference
On Friday, there is the Floss Community Metrics conference, as a pre-fosdem fab-fest. I am very much looking forward to it, though I will miss the first hour probably as I don’t get in till 4.
Friday Beer Event
Apparently this is is the place to be! “This year’s beer event will again take place at the Delirium Café, in a beautiful alley near the Grand Place in Brussels. In addition to the enormous variety in beers, the location also has enough room to accommodate the vast crowd of geeks we tend to be. There are 25 different draught beers available.”
